To start the New Year off, I decided to partner with Helping Hands in my family’s hometown of Bentonville, Arkansas.
Helping Hands Inc. is a non-profit organization operated as a partnership of 26 churches from through-out Benton County. Established in 1976, Helping Hands has been providing assistance to those in need for 37 years.
Helping Hands offer one of the largest food pantries in Northwest Arkansas. The non profit provides food to more than 900 families each month.
Last December my home was renovated and I deep cleaned my home and pantry. Instead of throwing these items in the trash, I donated them to Helping Hands.
In addition to giving can goods, I also donated several pieces of furniture and clothing to the organization.
With the assistance of more than 145 volunteers, Helping Hands provides essentials from clothing, household items, jewelry, and food to the people of Benton County.
In the last decade, Helping Hands has had notable success. In 2012 alone, Helping Hands exceeded their giving goal. Providing $2,418,000.00 in aid to the community. Helping Hands each year looks to continually expand upon this amount given to Benton County families.
I encourage everyone to start the New Year off with a fresh start. One of the ways you can show your support of families is to find a local organization in your community.
Then give what you have.
